3.5 The Reduce Menu

The Reduce menu, presents options to allow you greater control over the data reduction process.

3.5.1 Run automatic sequence

The Reduce :: Run automatic sequence menu item, trivially reproduces the functionality of the lower tool bar go button.

3.5.2 Run reduction manually

Manual reduction sub-window, allows you to control the progress of data reduction by hand. All of the parameters that are most commonly need to be changed during a data reduction are available in this window.

The Reduce :: Run reduction manually button pops up a small sub-window which allows you to run the data reduction by hand rather than using one of the built in sequences. The parameters which need to be most commonly changed during data reduction are made available in this sub-window. You may also use this window to add some iterations to the end of an automatic data reduction sequence, if you feel that the solution has not adequately converged. We do not recommend correcting more than the first 13 Zernikes, using signal clip levels outside the range 0.2 to 0.8, or using feedback gain greater than 0.7.
