License agreement

1. Each license entitles you to use the Optical Software package for reducing data from one telescope or optical installation.
2. Laplacian Optics Inc. Optical Software and its documentation may not be sublicensed and may not be transferred without the prior written consent of Laplacian Optics Inc. Laplacian Optics Inc. reserves all rights not expressly granted by this license.
3. Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the Software shall remain in Laplacian Optics. By using this optical software You agree to abide by the copyright laws. You acknowledge that the optical software in source code form remains a confidential trade secret of Laplacian Optics Inc.
4. Your right to copy the Optical Software and this documentation is limited by copyright law. Making unauthorized copies, adaptations, or compilation works (except for archival purposes or as an essential step in the utilization of the program in conjunction with certain equipment) is prohibited and constitutes a punishable violation of the law. As an exception to this, you are hereby granted permission to make changes to the software for your own internal use.
5. THIS DOCUMENTATION AND OPTICAL SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. IN NO EVENT SHALL LAPLACIAN OPTICS BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS, LOSS OF USE OR DATA, INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS, OR FOR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, ARISING FROM ANY ERROR IN THIS DOCUMENTATION OR OPTICAL SOFTWARE.
6. Laplacian Optics Inc may revise this documentation from time to time without notice.
7. In the event that any provision of this Agreement is held to be illegal or otherwise unenforceable, such provision shall be deemed to have been deleted from this Agreement, while the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall be unaffected and shall continue in full force and effect.

This work makes use of the GNU C++ libraries, and is thus supplied in re-linkable form that complies with section 6 of the Gnu library general public license version 2. We hereby comply with section 6 paragraph (b) of the Gnu library general public license version 2, by offering purchasers of this Optical Software the materials specified in section 6 paragraph (a) of the Gnu library general public license for a period of 3 years after the purchase of the Optical Software, or the expiration of the last maintenance agreement. Licensing terms for other components used in this software are included in the manual.
