11.1 Bugs and deficiencies identified by ourselves.

11.1.1 Bugs

  1. Should automatically set pupil over-sampling dependent on the ratio of pupil size to wavefront size.
  2. Problem centering images if the extra-focal image distance is not known and if a simple optical system is used.
  3. Should have a tighter limit on the number of Zernikes that can be subtracted because subtracting a large number is too time consuming.
  4. Add error condition if one tries to display a wavefront or images developed from a reconstruction that has just been reset. At the moment the program will happily base output on a null wavefront.
  5. Should indicate which parameters are superseded by the automatic reduction sequence.

11.1.2 Deficiencies.

  1. Should be able to choose normalization on output of Zernike coefficients.
  2. No implementation of annular Zernikes.
  3. Some of the windows are not displayed well when using larger fonts.
  4. No way to delete a configuration.
  5. Entering a non-numerical string in an entry box where a number is expected often results in a non-graceful error trap.
  6. Need to separate normalization and units in Zernike save window.
