Will you need her to sign a form, or is this ok? If you let me know which card you've picked (the card # is on the lower left of each card), I'll forward it to Aria and perhaps she can tell us more about the students who drew the pictures. In fact if you let me know which one it is, I can give you more info on the student who did the card. I only have one class and they are sixth graders, I teach them all day, all subjects. If you send a release form, I can more than likely get it signed. January 4th would be fine as long as you work with the students in the afternoon. I might like to have the kids do astrnomy bingo cards again, but am not sure whether we can get them done before the break. We have many loose ends to tie up and some testing to do before the break. The students would love to see a fellow student's work published in any form I'm sure. Keep in touch as we get closer to you visit. Looking forward to it. I'll give her a call and I'll make sure she gets your email from yesterday. Thanks for the clarification of grade level, my #s were from the preliminary info on Amanda's class, I guess it wasn't correct. About the photo: yes, Penny has sent a few pictures with the Meade, but they didn't turn out nearly as well as this one. I understand your feelings about that scope, but I don't think that including it in a picture will be seen as an endorsement of that type of scope. FYI, Lowell gave it to John Wolff, a (n honorary) advisory board member, and one who has given large amounts of money to Lowell for equipment. So no, I don't think Lowell gave it because they didn't like him much. I'm pretty sure that the plaque won't be visible. Only a portion of it is in the picture anyway. I'm a bit confused by this: At 6:28 PM -0500 12/6/04, DSFPortree@aol.com wrote: Another reason I don't like that picture is that that's a parent or a teacher, not a kid in the class. The girl in the photo looks quite young, I don't think she's old enough to be a parent or teacher. Are we talking about the same photo? --a
