This file contains coordinates and IDs for stars in the Mount Wilson radial-velocity program that have spectral types newly determined in the post-WWII portion of that program. The sources are the two concluding papers from the early 1950s by Wilson & Joy ("2111 stars", 1950ApJ...111..221W, and "360 stars", 1952ApJ...115..157W). The stars comprise those either _not_ appearing in the large 1935 list ("4179 stars", 1935ApJ....81..187A) or that have spectral types different from that list. About 1700 of the 2471 stars in the two papers remain after this selection. The selected stars include many large-proper-motion stars, secondary components of relatively close doubles, and variable stars. The general program involved Boss General Catalogue stars later than type A as well as faint stars in northern Selected Areas. Most of the stars are between magnitude 5 and 8. For the fainter northern stars, the types are often still the only ones determined from slit spectra. The types are nominally on the Mount Wilson system (specifically by Alfred Joy) but expressed below in MK notation. Comparison with later MK types suggests that they are no more quirky than those of any other author (Morgan, Cowley, Houk, Abt, Gray et al), and less problematic than is common for MK classification in the literature. And when different from the 1935 list, they are more accurate (i.e. closer to the MK system). The types are often given in the SIMBAD headers as though they were MK types, and quoted by later authors and included in later catalogues as though they were MK types. This latter point doesn't legitimize giving them in MK notation, but usually one can't discern the published source, which is now explicit for 1700 stars. In the process of preparing the list, large numbers of vaguely-identified stars were recovered. I searched a 3' radius around all 2471 stars in SIMBAD, and have sent some 500 IDs and other corrections to Gerard Jasniewicz.
